Pannekoeken Developed in Austria by Christian Bezdeka and Marcus Ihlenfeld, woom bikes are innovative balance and pedal bikes that allow children to learn how to handle a bike in an intuitive, safe way.
Woom 1
Designed for the littlest riders, this lightweight kids’ pedal bike is ideal for your kid’s first step on two wheels. It’s built with a low center of gravity and features a steering limiter to prevent accidental overturning. It’s also equipped with a detachable front wheel to help prevent injuries.
Woom 2
With a weight of just 12.3 lbs, the woom 2 is one of the lightest pedal bikes on the market! Featuring kid-sized hand brake levers and a detachable steering limiter, this model is a great choice for kids learning to ride a bike.
The woom 2 is also fitted with a fully enclosed chain guard that keeps pants, socks and shoes from getting caught in the chain for added safety. Aside from the chain guard, the woom 2 also features dual hand brake levers, a detachable steering limiter and is available in 5 bright colors.
Woom 4
Featuring a narrower q-factor than traditional 20” bikes, the woom 4 is easier for kids to pedal and provides more efficiency. Its low center of gravity and upright riding position encourage confidence and help your child gain a better view of the road ahead.
This kid’s bike is a perfect choice for commuting and bike-packing! Its frame design has plenty of front triangle space so it can accommodate a large pannier rack. It is also a good option for kids who are carrying a lot of gear on their commute or bike-packing adventures.
Woom NOW
woom’s NOW is an excellent choice for kids who are looking to bike to school, soccer practice or grandma’s house. It’s an all-around bike that is comfortable for a kid to ride, has room for bags and can be adapted to fit different sizes of riders (the NOW 6 is the largest in this category).
You’ll notice from our test images that the NOW is designed with the lowest minimum seat height we’ve seen on a 20” bike at 22.1 inches! This makes it a great option for shorter kids that are just starting to bike, as well as larger riders who have outgrown the woom 3.
The NOW has a very low bottom bracket so it is incredibly stable. It also has a low rear wheel so that it is easy for your kid to stand up on their bike.
Aside from its low minimum seat height and weight, this kid’s bike is extremely durable and will last for many years of enjoyable cycling. The woom NOW is made from a strong aluminum frame and comes with premium components such as a Shimano SL-E12 drivetrain, high-quality tires, an adjustable crankset and durable fenders. It also includes a kickstand and is compatible with an array of additional accessories such as bells, fender racks and water bottle cages.
